Two of them came through the neighborhood and began their reign of terror,
stealing and eating the children of robins. Crows were the perps and they
hit three robin nests in the space of an hour. The hue and cry of every
adult robin in the vicinity was enough to wake sleeping dogs and a napping
naturalist. Later, along the edge of the road an accipter suddenly flushed
off the ground uncovering a dead and partially eaten crow. What goes around
comes around.
