Tweets - This week I twice saw Crossbills in unexpected places. Monday 16
Crossbills were apparently foraging near the crown of a large blooming
Madrona -- the blossoms seem particularly abundant this year. Tuesday 28
Crossbills were apparently foraging toward the top of a large cottonwood. I
watched them fly off as a group and maybe 5 minutes later return in singles
or pairs. No binocs so couldn't observe what they might be eating. Good
birding!
