This weeks post is about birds nesting in boxes provided by humans. Ted Burris has come up with a very interesting idea. His theory is that birds like wood ducks are more likely to abandon their eggs if other wood ducks lay eggs in the same nest. This has lead him to create and camouflage dozens nesting boxes in order to make it harder for first-time female ducks to find the nests of older more established ducks.
