I've been noting the recent posts regarding Red Crossbills on feeders in the lowlands recently, so I thought I would add ours. We've been visited by one to six birds on 9, 14, and 17 May. When we have had six birds, they've been two males and four females. They've been taking black oil sunflower seeds. We are located west of Olympia on the Steamboat Island peninsula at an elevation of 130 feet.
