Located a singing EASTERN PHOEBE at Calispell Lake (Pend Oreille Co.) this morning. This is a first county record and I believe the 10th (or so) for WA after last year's Phoebe-fest. Had I not had windows down before a thunder storm hit and heard the loud singing, would've driven right past! The location is near the intersection of Pease Road and West Calispell Road. Approximately 100 feet East of the intersection, there is an abandoned white house on the right. That's the spot. Many other good birds about, nearly all the same as those reported a few days ago by Terry Little. Some photos are posted on Flickr.

Good birding,
