Ian,

Last year, or perhaps the year before I offered a prize to any of our Vaux's Happening monitors who could document a Chimney Swift. We cover most of the Pacific Flyway north of Mexico and document about a million Vaux's roosting events a year. We thought we had one out at Selleck a couple years ago and set up a video camera the next day. Got the suspect by itself in one fame which was of no value.

Curt Young and I've gone over hundreds of hours of recorded inside the Monroe Wagner chimney footage without ever noting a swift that looks different.

No reason one could't show up.
