The Am. White Pelican at 4:25 this evening was in the usual pond just south of the First Avenue South bridge in Seattle, east of SR 509. It was roosting in the bucket in the middle of the pond at the south end (just across from the new transfer station). During the five minutes I watched, it had it's head tucked in, so it's probably going to roost overnight.
