Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday November 21. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

On November 16 a female KING EIDER was reported passing southbound off
Boiler Bay. A BLACK-HEADED GULL was seen November 17 off Seaside. The
LaGrande RED-BELLIED WOODPECKER and the Cove BLUE JAY continue to be seen.

Heavy southward movements of PACIFIC LOONS and SURF SCOTERS continue along
the coast. Some BROWN PELICANS are still being reported.

On November 15 a RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER was seen in the mountains east of Cape
Blanco. During the week four TROPICAL KINGBIRDS and a CLAY-COLORED SPARROW
were near Cape Blanco. On November 17 a CATTLE EGRET was photographed at
Flores Lake. A TROPICAL KINGBIRD continues at the Marine Science Center on
Yaquina Bay. On November 17, 20 RED PHALAROPES were off Boiler Bay. The
Bayocean ARK SPARROW at Tillamook Bay continues to be seen. On November 19 a
TROPICAL KINGBIRD was in Gearhart and a HARRIS?S SPARROW was in Seaside.

On November 18 a GYRFALCON was reported from Woodland Bottoms Washington.
The ROSS?S GOOSE in the dog kennel fields fields near Coon Point on Sauvie
Island continues to be seen. Among the large gull flock near McMinnville
November 17 were A GLAUCOUS GULL, 1000 HERRING GULLS, 400 THAYER?S GULLS,
and 12 WESTERN GULLS. At the Sheridan Sewage Ponds
November 16 wre two SURF SCOTERS and a WESTERN GULL. During the week up to
34 SNOW GEESE were at Ankeny NWR. On November 16 a RED FOX SPARROW was
photographed in North Eugene. That day 14 WHITE PELICANS and five
BONAPARETE?S GULLS were at Fern Ridge Reservoir.
On November 14 two LONG-TAILED DUCKS were photographed on the Frontage Road
Ponds in Baker City. Another LONG-TAILED DUCK was seen during the week on
the new Prineville Sewage Ponds. On November 18 a RUSTY BLACKBIRD was near
LaGrande. The next day a HARRIS?S SPARROW was photographed there. A BLACK
SCOTER was among three SURF SCOTERS and a WHITE-WINGED SCOTER on Wickiup
Reservoir November 20.
