As I drive by the local stadium/playfield I often notice geese feeding on the grass. I occasionally see a small number of Greater whited fronted geese among them, so when I saw a bit of "light" this afternoon, I drove round the block to check it out. Among the 100+ Canadas and Cacklers was a single Snow goose grazing quite near the fence. A nice, unexpected addition to my day after a brisk, birdless?hike in the frosty hills.
