When it rains, it pours. Have had remarkable responses to both "birders with bikes" and "birders and kayaks", so here goes the final call...

Looking for a territory lead to do the Everett Sewage Treatment Plant for the Everett-Marysville Christmas Bird Count, December 14th--a Saturday. I will arrange access into the site. We already have a couple observers, but could use an experienced observer with a scope.

As most of you know, the ponds have thousands of ducks and gulls at this time of year, including sometimes a few oddballs (examples: Cinnamon Teal, Redhead). The swampy edges may have interesting sparrows, raptors and more (remember the Barn Swallows!).

In addition--coverage of Smith Island west of I-5 is part of the beat, and some at the east end of 12th Street SE across from Dagmars Landing. In all, a very interesting area to bird, and one that has produced quite a lot over the years...

Please let me know if you are interested. I am also looking for a birder to walk the shoreline of Jetty Island near Everett--6 miles roughly roundtrip, we have not had coverage of songbirds there before...
And anyone who likes picking through Chestnut-b Chickadee/kinglet flocks for Hutton's Vireo and
Townsend's Warbler is "in" also, just give me a ring or email.
