Tweeters,

It was a fine bit of birding in my Battle Ground, Clark County yard even
though it was only enjoyed in several 15 minute periods:

Turkey Vulture: 31 (one flock that kettled and streamed and kettled and
streamed its way south)
Peregrine: 1
Greater White-fronted Goose: 150 (one flock)
Cackling Goose: 15 (2 flocks)

one passerine flock that included:

Townsend's Warbler: 1 (only my 6th one at the yard)
Black-throated Gray Warbler: 5
Yellow Warbler: 2
Orange-crowned Warbler: 1
Yellow-rumped Warbler: 4
Common Yellowthroat: 1
Warbling Vireo: 1
Western Tanager: 1
Pacific-slope Flycatcher: 1

Several first of season Varied Thrushes calling in the morning as well as
at least 69 American Robins moving southward. Violet Green Swallows and
Vaux's Swifts have been flying over presumably all day long.

Keep your eyes and ears skyward!

Jim
