Wednesday morning, around 8 AM I was heading east on 520 in the fog.
Due to a stalled vehicle a mile down the road it was slow going.
Plenty of time to watch a very large adult Bald Eagle on one of the north side light stands (near the road sign almost due north of the Boradmoore nest).
Two light stands later a smaller (presumably male) adult on the south side.

Not so sure construction will faze these eagles. If they are used to perch and hunt from the 520 bridge, a couple of cranes (and a new bridge) shouldn't present an obstacle.

Not sure I will ever see one perched on an operating crane (as I once saw a Merlin do years ago, it got a nice 360 vies as the crane rotated), but these urban birds do amaze at times! Ospreys and Peregrines at times hang out in the middle of the construction zone at the east end of the 520 floating bridge.

Happily we saw one of them doing just that tonight, around 5:30 pm, viewing from Foster Island. I can't tell if it was Albert or Eva.
