Many nice birds at Sprague this AM on a quick tour before work. The resort was relatively quiet though the expected Juncos, Kinglets, etc. were around as well as a pair of VARIED THRUSHES. The Adams side of the lake was a bit more happening with the full list below, highlights in bold. The most eye-opening find was a pure flock of 27 SURF SCOTERS, about 21 of which I was able to fit in a frame of a heavily cropped photo. All were first-year birds. Someone probably has records on this but this seems like an exceptionally large count for this side of the Columbia, I initially just passed the flock off as Scaup!
