Well that did not take long. I got 4 responses
within 5 minutes (all of us need to get a life...
lol). One fully mirrored the thought/ID pattern I
went through before deciding to post. It just
seemed too small and somewhat too much white for a
Common Murre... Here was the comment: "Young of
the year Common Murre. the little blighters leave
the nest really early (days old). Field guides
generally don't mention this and so i have tried
to make murrelets (Scripps, carveri, and other
rarities)." Works for me.
