Hi Everyone,

I spent the morning of Friday, the 18th, at Juanita Bay Park in Kirkland. Although the foggy conditions made photography difficult, here's a list of the birds I saw..

In addition to the usual Robins,? Crows, and Mallards, I saw Green-winged Teals, Hooded Mergansers, a Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Black-capped Chickadees, Pied-billed Grebes, rafts of Coots, Gadwalls, American Wigeons, one Ring-necked Duck, a Pileated Woodpecker, a Northern Flicker, a Belted Kingfisher, heard a Virginia Rail that was very close but couldn't find it, Wood Ducks, Canada Geese, Red-winged Blackbirds, American Goldfinch, March Wren, Double-crested Cormorants, and a couple of Great Blue Herons.

I did have a Great Blue Heron fishing nearby and got this shot with a fish in his mouth and his wings spread out...

and? Wood Duck was kind enough to swim close by and let me get this...

For the regular visitors to the park, I did see our resident Red-tailed Hawk, which we call #91 because of the number on his leg band, on October 3rd. He came by and took a bath in the shallow water by the west dock and then landed near enough for me to get this photo...
