Hi Ed:
I saw a Cooper's Hawk in my back yard a couple days ago (South side of
Greenlake). I wasn't able to see if it was banded since it was pretty well
hidden in a hemlock tree, but I was looking for bands as I have seen banded
Coopers before. I thought that maybe the hawk was responsible for taking
out a hummingbird that I hadn't seen for several days, but today I saw two
hummingbirds, so maybe I'm wrong about that. Anyway, I'll keep an eye out
for bands when and if s/he returns.
