Dear Rolan and Tweeters,
?
I managed to find someone to cover for me this afternoon (30 October 2013)?at work, and hustled up to Howard Miller Steelhead Park in Rockport, arriving at 1635. I saw some very interesting gulls, but none that I was sure I could call an Iceland. I did see a Herring Gull. There was also one small but pink-legged juvenile gull that really puzzled me, along with a big, weird-looking pseudo-Glaucous Gull that I couldn't figure out.?I am trying to recharge the battery on my pathetic little camera now, so that I can look at my pitiful photos.
?
One thing, there is no telling what gull might show up there. There were close to a hundred gulls feeding there, then flying west, over the ninety minutes or so that I was there. Dead and dying salmon are all over the place. You can smell them as you walk out from the parking area. That said, the rain has come back, and it is likely to be rainier up there than it will be anywhere to the west.
?
Yours truly,
?
Gary Bletsch

>Has anyone seen or heard anything more about the Iceland Gull that Ryan Merrill reported on Tuesday?? If there's a chance that it's still there I'd like to make a run at it tomorrow.
