> Will send a more detailed report a little later but on a WOS field trip today 4 of us observed a WHITE-BREASTED NUTHATCH, possibly 2 birds if the 2nd sighting was a different bird, at Ellinger Homestead, located about 7 miles North of Washtucna. As far as I know this is a County first record! Other birds of note were LEWIS?S WOODPECKERS, 1 at Bassett Park and a 2nd at Ellinger, 2 RED-EYED VIREOS (as well as abundant Warbling and 2 Cassin?s), a female BLACK-CHINNED HUMMINGBIRD, and many typical Warblers, Sparrows, and Flycatchers (10 species). More later?
