I spent part of Saturday and Sunday in Garfield County and had a few goodies along the way:
Saturday [8/31]:
Common Terns - a flock of 6 small terns flew past me at Willow Landing [end of Hastings Hill Rd] -- after zooming west, hoping to catch them, I doubled back to Willow Landing where, sure enough, 2 had perched right where I was originally looking. Code 5 in Garfield.

Yellow-headed Blackbird - also at Willow Landing - a tough code 4 bird in Garfield

Sunday [9/1]:
Solitary Sandpiper - apparently a county first [and the 39th county to add SOSA to its list] ! Seen this morning at Illia Dunes WMA.
Red-necked Grebe - code 5 bird, just west of Lower Granite Dam
Western Screech-Owl - Mouth of Deadman Creek before dawn - several hooting away
Barn Owl - the shed at Rice Bar HMU

Good days in Garfield!
