Subject: [Tweeters] Elegant Tern-NO

HI ALL:
I spent part of the afternoon up at the Hansville area looking for the
Elegant Tern reported there this morning WITHOUT any luck. Did have
several Common and Caspian Terns, a few Parasitic Jaegers (mainly
immatures), thousands of Red-necked Phalaropes, including one that
briefly landed at the freshwater marsh next to the Pt. No Pt. lighthouse.
Another birder reported a Red Phalarope mixed in with all the Red-necks.
Had a Peregrine Falcon working the phalarope flocks and at one point
had a jaeger and the falcon in the same scope view. Also numerous
Heermann's and California Gulls with a few Bonaparte's Gulls mixed in.

sincerely
