Hi Vicki and Tweeters,

I was just talking about Evening Grosbeaks with Dave Hayden a couple of days ago. I've been hiking in various portions of the Cascades about once a week, give or take, this summer, and on some of the trails, especially over the last few weeks, they are the most commonly heard species below the alpine region. He said that he's been hearing them as well on his hikes.

Hi Everyone,
Here in Bonney Lake, as well as other parts in this area I've been in the past two weeks, Grosbeaks abound. Even with being totally deaf in one ear, I can hear their calls. I've only had about 6-9 or so, in my own yard. But, I have heard them and seen flybys in Buckley, Puyallup, Yelm and in between. I am thinking we are in for a very good year!
