Hello All,

2 September 2013 was the day that a great friend and birder passed away. Tom Weber was a very good birder and an outstanding conservationist. He and his Diane birded the Whitman County region and helped define that areas bird diversity. He was very knowledgeable, intelligent and above all very kind. He was a victim of a long valiant fight with cancer. He was 65 years old and will be interned at the Colton Catholic Cemetery on 9 Sept.. We here in eastern Washington have lost a friend and a rare individual. He was the past president of the Palouse Audubon along with Diane his wife. Tom and Diane helped with many WOS field trips and at the Othello Sandhill Crane Festival. I will miss him very much as it was a comfort to know that he and Diane were in Pullman. So to Diane and family we are greatly saddened by this deep loss of Tom from this community of birders.
