I lead a Sierra Club hike up to Glacier Basin, above Monte Cristo Sunday
Sept 15 where we saw Vaux Swifts soaring just below Glacier Falls. I was
surprised to see swifts this late in year at that altitude, but is was
surprisingly hot and there were still flying insects about.



I expect the swifts will be heading south of the border soon.
