Wednesday (9/18) I swung by two osprey nests in Lynnwood to see if the babies had fledged. The nest at the Meadowdale softball
complex appeared abandoned for the summer.


I was surprised to see a juvie? still present in the Dunn Lumber nest.? I expected it to have fledged by now as we ease into late September.? The juvie, which appeared to be a female, was crying for food as its father was perched on a spar in the wetlands south of the nest.?
