Subject: [Tweeters] past 2 days in Whatcom

Hi tweeters,
The last two days my dad and I have been birding around Whatcom county.
Yesterday the 18, we saw the continuing rock wren, along with 2 surfbirds
with the black turnstones at sandy point. At lummi flats there were 6
pectoral sandpipers with 40 dowitchers and american bittern.
Today we were up at mt baker. Hawks were good!

coopers 3
red tailed 13
osprey 2
A. kestrel 1
C. raven 5
Gray crowned Rosy finch 50
horned lark 12
red crossbill 42
Band tailed pigeon 11

We than headed to semiahmoo spit to look for the Pacific-Golden Plover that
Phil Calise found the 18. We meat up with Phil, and had good looks at the
plover! also in the flock of 600-800 Black-Bellied Plovers were 2
SHort-Billed Dowitcher, 2 dunlin, and 2 least
