Subject: [Tweeters] Barred Owl still here @ 4:30 p.m.

Since 12 noon, the Barred Owl has stayed in my woods - some crows still are yakking at it occasionally, but it seems to have found a Douglas Fir branch to roost on and is doing just that - better for the owl, but not as good for viewing - up much higher than it was on the Kousa dogwood from noon to one - crows drove it off the dogwood, but it didn't fly far before landing on it's present branch - I imagine it will move when darkness moves in - haven't heard any vocalizations, although I saw its beak open and close a few times when it was in the dogwood.

I've had Barred Owls in the woods before, but only heard them at night, in the winter - have never seen one in on my property in the daytime. A fun find.
