Hi All,

Jon Isacoff, brother Dan,and I, braved a few blustery,wet days on the
Washington coast. Today was ridiculous!

Friday highlights at Neah Bay:

INDIGO BUNTING - female loosely associating with junco flock at far west
end of town along gravel road that connects to back road out to Wa'atch
Valley. Responded to pishing and photographedby Jon and Dan.

Black-legged Kittiwake - adult at stream mouth at west side of town.

Sandhill Cranes - flock flying over straits, and then over towngoing south.

An afternoon of birding with out rain.


Saturday highlightsat central coast:

RED-SHOULDERED HAWKS - two immatures along Paulson Road - perched close
to each other, but given vocalizations like they didn't seem to happy
about it. Could have just been all the rain put them in a bad moodthough.

Tule White-fronted Goose - one at north end of Hoquiam airport.

Snowy Plovers - 19 at Midway Beach.

Golden-plovers at Game Range at Ocean Shores - 6 Pacific and 1 American
- all juveniles.

It looks like the next system on Sunday might even include some
strongerwinds . We did have good numbers of Sooty Shearwaters along with
a few Pink-foots in the strait off of Neah Bay. It might be interesting
to see if we get a few wind-blown tubenoses pushed Puget Sound direction
in the first part of the week.
