Hello all!!!
I am so happy I have found this place. I'm looking forward to reading about all the exciting finds and maybe trying to find a few myself.

I thought some of you might like to see a few pictures of the most exciting visitor we've had in our yard, this little owl which I believe is a Saw-Whet. Are Saw-Whet Owls common in Seattle? This is the first one I've ever seen. Its been sleeping in our yard for a few days now.

He or she is absolutely adorable, but I am hoping it won't hurt our
songbirds? We tried to feed it mice from the pet store, but it didn't
seem interested. Should I keep trying? I don't really know what to do with the mice and they give me the creeps.
