Good morning, Tweeters -

Home today so I can keep an eye on the soon to fledge chicks. Just before 8am I saw my first chick lift up (just after mom came with breakfast - probably 2nd or third by the time I saw them!) and settle right next to the nest and sat there for a couple of minutes!! Very exciting! It (he/she) then decided to climb back in for a well deserved rest.

I saw the other working its wings, not quite ready to step beyond the comfort of home.

Today could be the day...to be continued. Back to the scope...

This is a bit ironic for me - this weekend, I'm meeting some Molly owl pals (MODS - anyone out there heard of it - if so, you know...) - I know the feeling of the fledge.
