> Good morning, Tweeters - Resend w/out actual images...will try to get those out to those who would like to see the two I have removed from my post...
>
> Sometime w/in the last half hour between 8 and 8:30am, the second bird took flight (I missed seeing this one unfortunately). I was getting concerned, but I saw the mother feed it around 7am and it did get out of the nest and flap it's wings and then crawled back in to the nest and did some preening. So this was two days after the first.

> I'll venture out to see if any of the chicks are being fed by mom.

> Boy, for all of you out there with children leaving home, I now understand. It was a perfect 40th anniversary gift (3/22) for us this year - especially since we lost our Golden Retriever, Curry last year (and was our 25th anniversary gift). Our new scope from Santa last year is well broken in now - how did he know?

> What will be next (every time I type next - it always comes out nest...) after this wonderful month of watching the Hummers of Wedgwood? We do think there's another nest somewhere in our trees. Not sure I could take the excitement again this soon!
>
> Oh, thanks to my visiting "Hummerazzi" - Barb Diehl, Chris Altosax (sorry Chris, I didn't get your last name) and especially to Aaron Baggenstos for the images he captured - dare I say from our bedroom...(guess I should say thank you to my husband too for allowing another gentleman into our bedroom!:)) Thanks to him for his photo tips and encouragement - he said I might have gotten one or two that aren't blurry!!! Be sure to check out his website - aaronstours.com

> I have named the chicks in the photo North and South. I'm so glad to have these wonderful memories and thanks to everyone who shared it here with me.

> PS - guess the mother just came back and poked around in the nest - still some activity - might there be a second brood? I did read that sometimes the nest could be reused...hold on to your hats - it's gonna be a bumpy ride!!
