There obviously was a bird movement last night, which was clear and relatively warm. This morning, while walking the area of Schmuck Rd., Sequim, I found no less than10 Hermit Thrushes foraging in the woodland tree tops, a FOY Blue-winged Teal drake in a small marsh, and a veritable chorus of Savannah Sparrows spread across the farmland roadsides and hedgrows. The Trumpeter Swans may be gone, but the vacuum is being filled by smaller yet noteworthy spring events.
