A few weeks ago I requested to suggestions for birding in the Southern Cal
area. I was amazed at all the wonderful responses I received. I tried to
thank everyone but I might have missed a couple so if you didn't hear from
me please take this as a thank you.



I returned last week from a 9 day trip that where most of the time was spent
between Anaheim and Carlsbad. The Primary purpose was theme parks. Seven
theme parks in 7 days. During the trip I did manage to visit a few specific
birding areas ; San Elijo Lagoon, Bolsa Chica and Huntington Beach State
Park. In addition I also had some nice wild bird sightings at the Sand Diego
Zoo and the San Diego Safari Park.



No rarities seen but did get 11 ABA Life Birds. ebird had me down for 85
total species.
