Hi Tweeters,

I spent nearly 2 hours at the Theler Wetlands in Mason County this morning
with the tide quite high. The area that is now subject to tidal action that
was formerly behind the dike had a nice assortment of shorebirds, some of
which have been traditionally scarce in Mason County. The following is my
shorebirds seen:

Semipalmated Plover - 2
Killdeer - 12
Greater Yellowlegs - 1
Lesser Yellowlegs - 1
Semipalmated Sandpiper - 1
Western Sandpiper - 12
Least Sandpiper - 4

With the recent report of a Pectoral Sandpiper from here this seems to be a
nice spot for some species for county listers.
