Hi Tweeters and OBOLers,
All,
Here's an update on shorebirds at Rest Lake, Ridgefield NWR, Clark County,
Washington this morning:
5 (!) Semipalmated Sandpiper (4 in same scope view)
92 Long-billed Dowitcher
45 Greater Yellowlegs
1 Lesser Yellowlegs
25 Least Sandpiper
2 Western Sandpiper
Killdeer and Wilson's Snipe on S. Big Lake.
Habitat seems to improve every day so I'm hopeful that Rest Lake will be
productive for shorebirds for quite a while.
Surprisingly, there may have been at least three immature Black-crowned
Night-Herons at Ridgefield today. Sightings today included one at the
Hunter's Gate, one on the Kiwa Trail, and one near the south end of Rest
Lake - not bad for a code 3 bird in Clark County!
Keep your eyes and ears skyward.
Jim
