Hi Tweeters and OBOLers,

After hearing only one nocturnal chip note over my Battle Ground, Clark
County, Wa yard on several nights last week, I was encouraged to hear at
least 8 birds flying over early this morning starting at about 2:30am:

Wilson's Warbler: 4
unidentified warbler: 3
Chipping Sparrow: 1 (I'm assuming it wasn't a Brewer's or Clay-colored!)

After a quiet start, the birding picked up around 8:30 this morning in the
yard with the following:

Warbling Vireo: 5
Yellow Warbler: 3
Wilson's Warbler: 2
Common Yellowthroat: 1
Black-throated Gray Warbler: 1
Western Tanager: 3
Black-headed Grosbeak: 7-9 (at least 6-8 young of the year)
Lazuli Bunting: 1 (flyover)
Willow Flycatcher: 3-4 (presumably the local breeders)

Several Evening Grosbeak flyovers too!

No more birding today since I've converted the house to a cave due to
forecasted 97 degree temp.

Keep your eyes and ears skyward.
