Hi Tweeters,

I spent this afternoon (8/24/14) at Emerald Downs to take in the Longacres
Mile. A GREAT EGRET spent the entire time in the pond at the north end of
the infield. Screaming fans, dashing horses, loudspeakers - nothing seemed
to keep this bird from searching for prey in this pond. A nice county bird
for me on a non birding afternoon.
