A very dark day. Just what I needed to test the 7D2 that came today and find out how much truth there is to all the hype about low noise, high ISO, and all the rest.
It seems to be mostly true! Unintentionally, I had one photo at 16000 ISO and used it. You can see it here: http://www.pbase.com/jvhigbee/image/158446181
I have put a dozen on Flickr. Most are at high ISO settings but the detail, the sharpness, the exposure levels are also very good and the focus speed and accuracy are beyond anything I have had previously.
