Thanks for posting this, Rachel. Like so many others, I had the wonderful experience (on several occasions) of being at Tom Lamb's "Hummingbird Crossing" on Biscuit Ridge Road in Dixie, north of Walla Walla. He was such a calm and friendly man and so happy to share with everyone the experience of feeding hundreds of hummers at his home. You could stand within inches and watch the hummers feed. Quite an extraordinary experience provided by a man who never thought of himself in those terms. He will be missed, perhaps not only by us...

Good morning. I am not sure you are aware or interested but Tom Lamb, who fed thousands of hummingbirds during their migration in his back yard in Dixie Washington, recently passed away. I do not know if there are plans to continue feeding the birds but am concerned that there may be a negative impact on the hummingbird population due to their reliance on this site to
feed. Many thousands of birds visit this site each season and the site
has been an active feeding station for many years.
