Karen and I observed what we believe is a Golden Eagle perched on a snag at the west end of Sikes Lake. We watched it from 11:20 to 11:55 a.m. today (Thursday). It was still there when we left. It had a dark body, golden head and a large yellow bill with a spot of black at the very tip of the bill. I will post a digiscoped photo when we get home provided we still have power at our house.
