Hello, Tweeters,

I do love that sound! A flock of crossbills -- I'd say Red Crossbills --
flying over Wedgwood in northeast Seattle this morning.

Strangely, our postman told us that he had seen a dead Red Crossbill
under another neighbor's picture window. It seems odd that the bird
would be down so low, but so it goes. (The postman didn't know what it
was, but he described it perfectly.)
