We'll be taking a last-minute, first-time trip to O'ahu and Kauai in January, about 5 days on each of the two islands- woohoo! Would appreciate any tips on best birding/wildlife/scenery sites, local guides, modest lodging and great eateries sent directly to me. Also, does anyone have a Pratt's "Birds of HI and the Tropical Pacific" we could borrow?
