Yesterday, en route to a fishing event at Howard Miller Steelhead Park,
Joseph Brown and I stopped at Bryson Rd off Hwy 530 and walked down to the
Sauk River. At the edge of a field along the path, there was a flock of
about 10 Steller's Jays making a racket, and a Short-eared Owl flew up out
of the grass and into the trees, pursued by the jays. This seems like an
interesting sighting for this location.
