The Washington Ornithological Society's conference will be held in Ocean Shores from Aug. 29-24, 2015.

In a previous email, I mentioned that you could check our latest newsletter for some updates on the conference?From the Board?. That article by Amy Schillinger suggested reserving rooms now because of the high season for Ocean Shores motel bookings. To-date, there are only a few rooms left at the Shilo Inn where the main conference takes place. Those rooms are priced at $149 plus tax. We on the board decided to block 20 more rooms because of this early response. However, these rooms will be $159 plus tax because of the later inquire. So, if you plan on staying at the Shilo, its first come first served until the early block is sold out. We have also booked 20 rooms at the Quality Inn for $93 a night. I don?t know their status to-date.

The best way to get discount rate at the Shilo is to call the motel at 360-289-4600. The Quality Inn?s number is 360-289-2040. Our website is www.wos.org

It is looking like this convention will be one of our best, with many field trips, 3 pelagic trips and workshops.
