Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Wednesday December 24. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

The TUNDRA BEAN GOOSE continues at the Nestucca NWR. On December 23 a
BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLER was seen at Winter Lake near Coquille. The
adult male HOODED ORIOLE was seen again December 24 at the North Bend feeder
where it is apparently wintering. On December 26 a WHITE-WINGED DOVE visited
a Newport feeder. A MCCOWN?S LONGSPUR was seen December 30 along Golf Course
Road in Enterprise. The Fern Ridge Reservoir SNOWY OWL continues. The CATTLE
EGRET continues to be seen along Curry Road near Roseburg.

BROWN PELICANS, HEERMANN?S GULLS, and RED PHALAROPES continue along the
coast. Several GLAUCOUS GULLS are now being seen among gull flocks in the
Willamette Valley and along the coast. The Yaquina Head BURROWING OWL is
still being seen. A RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER was seen December 26 at Ecola Creek
Park in Cannon Beach.

A BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLER is now coming to a Vancouver feeder. On
December 28 a lone NIGHT-HERON was seen at the traditional roost at
Bridgeton in North Portland. On December 29 a SURF SCOTER was at the
Monmouth Sewage Ponds and a EURASIAN GREEN-WINGED TEAL was at Baskett Slough
NWR. A FRANKLIN?S GULL was seen December 28 among a gull flock along Midway
Drive south of Albany. The Alvadore MOCKINGBIRD continues to be seen.

On December 28 a BONAPARTE?S GULL was at Hatfield Lake near Bend.
