Interesting story I heard recently ? they have some kind of trained raptor
that flies around the field during Seahawk games. However, due to US
regulations that are not allowed to use any North American bird that would
be remotely appropriate ? so it?s a European species. The sports fan telling
me this did not know which one

If a Seahawk is an Osprey fans should be glad they aren't playing the
Philadelphia Eagles. They'd just have to chase them and they'd drop the
ball everytime. I've always associated the team logo more with a Steller's
Sea Eagle - far more formidable, better head match to the logo, and a tough
cookie.

I'm rooting for the Broncos because neither my 49'ers or
Indianstanfordapolis Colts are still in it. I lived in Seattle for 25 years
in the same upscale neighborhoods the professional athletes lived in - many
are very sweet - but many are self-involved, self-important boobs...and the
wives can be worse. Our small town used to let speeding, stop sign running,
trash throwing, radio blasting athletes go with a warning and slap fines on
grandmas with dogs in the car. I did actually here on of the wives say "Do
you know who I am? Do you know who my husband is?" to a Newcastle Cop who
had had enough and wrote her up for running a stop sign and failing to pull
over for an officer. She was still cursing at the top of her lungs as she
drove off in her big Mercedes.
