Took a pleasant drive to the Old S-M Rd. to see if I could spot the Gyrfalcon again. Saw one other person looking as well, but I never found a perched or flying Gyr. It was an unusual drive, with nary a car on that road most of the time. But listening to the football game on my car radio was quite exciting, so I didn't mind only seeing Redtails, Bald Eagles and a small grouping of Snow Geese. The sky put on a bit of a show, too, in pastel blues, pinks and oranges, between cloud banks, and surprisingly, to the EAST !

Glad the Hawks Went !
