Monday was a beautiful, albeit cold and breezy day. There weren't a lot of birds as I did my walk through Kenmore's Wallace Swamp Creek Park.There were highlights though.

I saw an American Dipper foraging in the creek . I think this is the same bird I've seen on two previous occasions in the past few weeks. I'm delighted to have him in my neighborhood park. Dippers are so fun to watch. Even non-birders get excited seeing it.

Another fun observation was watching a pair of Brown Creepers searching for a nest sight (I assume that is what they were up to). They followed one another from tree to tree climbing in and out from under loose slabs of bark.
