I?ve had a song sparrow at my suet all winter, but he is using a bell-shaped feeder that he can stand on with an exposed round suet cake within beak reach. So probably they like this food but it may be hard for them to use a regular suit cage?

Tweets ? I don?t usually see sparrows at the suet, except for the juncos, and I?m never sure if they?re actually going for the suet or are looking for seeds. Today, though, I?ve had a FOX SPARROW and a GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW spending quite a bit of time at the suet.

I?ve also had both DOWNY and HAIRY WOODPECKERS, but those are to be expected (though always very nice to see).

This is at our house in the SE corner of Kirkland, King County,
