As a bird lover, I admit to being sensitive to the saying: "kill two birds with one stone."

A friend of mine recently shared this as a kinder alternative: "feed two birds with one scone." And, yes, I know, birds could die from eating scones, etc. Obviously, the idea is to eliminate the blatant "kill."

Perhaps other birders have come up with their own alternatives.
