I looked for the TUFTED DUCK seen previously at Fallen Leaf Lake late this afternoon and could not find it there. I did find it in the slough southwest of Round Lake in Lacamas Park near Camas.

At Ridgefield NWR this morning 104 SANDHILL CRANE flew through at the River "S" Unit. There were 35 WILSON SNIPE pulling some kind of grubs from an area of dry grass. I watched for 15 minutes and it was amazing. Also I watched a GREAT EGRET 30 feet from the road catch a large Vole and swallow it after crunching on it repeatedly with it's beak.
